Recovering

This is a picture of my hubby's collar bone 6 years ago when he broke it playing rugby.
This is the metal plate they put in it to heal up that broken bone.
And this is what the plate looks like when they take it out and present it to you in a little plastic cup.
We are in recovery mode this weekend.
The hubs had surgery to remove a titanium plate from his collar bone.
Naturally, he asked to keep it.
Naturally I thought that was really gross, but let him do it anyways.
After a few hours in the hospital
with endless cups of ice chips and Dr. Pepper,
one high-tech velcro sling,
lots of frozen pea ice packs,
and one really sore husband...
and we are loving the excuse to cuddle up with movies and root beer floats.
What a brave husband I have!
And he even looks ridiculously handsome in his silly hospital getup.
If I do say so myself.

  1. I can almost see up Jig's hospital gown. Scandalous. Glad he is healing!

  2. Justin is amazing -- working the day after surgery. Nice socks too.
