Viva Las Vegas: Part 2

Another thing I was so excited to do in Las Vegas was visit the "worlds" (Coke World, M&M World, etc.) My favorite was definitely Coke World, but then again, I am a Diet Coke addict. Truth be told, I convinced the mister to take me TWICE. The first time, we tried the sample platter with sodas from around the world. The second time, we split the world's biggest root beer float. And I couldn't resist--the only souvenir I bought the whole trip was a $6 sparkly diet coke keychain.

My husband has much more of a sweet tooth than me, so he liked M&M World and Hershey World best. From the giant giant bottles of Hershey Syrup to the endless colors of M&M's, he was in chocolate heaven. They even had crispy M&M's! Unfortunately, it was a zillion degrees in Las Vegas so we couldn't buy anything for fear of it melting.

We tried to plan just one "big" activity every day because I was pregnant and had to take many rests to break up all of the walking. One day we went to the Body World exhibit. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it is a exhibit that uses real human cadavers to display the various anatomical structures and systems of the body. Both healthy and pathological specimens were displayed. And for a girl who just took anatomy and is studying for my masters in nutrition, I couldn't get enough. We probably spent 3 hours in the exhibit!

Another day, we had tickets to see the Zarkana show of Cirque de Soleil. It was the perfect mix of silly, insane, and breathtaking all at the same time. From acrobats to jugglers to sand art, we were captivated from start to finish and would highly recommend this show! Unfortunately, we didn't get too many pictures.

Las Vegas certainly was an experience. I am not sure if we will go back anytime soon, but it was so fun to visit somewhere new. Honestly though, we could have gone anywhere and I would have been happy just to have some alone time with my sweet husband. Until next time, Las Vegas!
